Genshiken resumes serialization

Via Sankaku Complex: According to the October issue of Afternoon Magazine on sale in a couple of days, the Genshiken manga will be seeing a limited run revival come the November issue. Written and illustrated by Kio Shimoku (as was the original), the new series will focus on the club under the management of Ogiue, with new members joining and many of the old cast returning as well.

This will be the first manga serial volume I’ll be picking up in a long time.

So you didn’t read Princess of the Hell?

I haven’t read much manga in the past two years. I read one chapter of it browsing Afternoon one month and was rather confused, it was amusing enough though that I’ll probably go pick up the volumes and make my way through them sooner or later.

Shit…I’d say that the news of Genshiken being revived is what actually got me to start reading manga again (I’m now following a couple of ongoing series as a result). I can’t wait for this!

I recently saw a scanlation of (I think) 58. What do you think of the current incarnation?
