You get the feeling that the “director’s cut theatrical version” is a vehicle to milk Aaya’s stardom because that’s exactly what it is. And she probably can’t do anything about it, since they own the rights.
My own feeling is that everyone is trying to ride her stardom to riches and will cast her aside when (and if) it fades. I admire her talent and think her star will stay in the sky a long time, but I also think she is being pushed too hard, in the interest of the people who make money off her — and in her own short-term financial interest.

@ hashihime: Yes, we don’t want her going to the hospital again, do we?

I’m not trolling or anything, but KG was seriously one of the worst anime series I have ever watched…
Horribly mismatched music, ridiculously directionless plot that moved at a snail’s pace, uninteresting characters, and godawful character designs. I so regret paying money for it…

Dude…Agent Wax is seriously whack. I’m pretty sure you didn’t really watch the whole anime. You most likely did not even notice that most of the themes in Full Metal Alchemist was very similar to Kiddy Grade. Which mind you, FMA was one of the biggest success in anime history. Kiddy Grade had a wonderful plot, great twists, and each character had their own unique way of life. I don’t know what kind of drug you were taking while watching this series, but you need to rewatch it with more of an open mind and without the drugs.

First time I’ve ever heard a complaint about the music. The Kiddy Grade OSTs are among my favourites, the only music I’m not fond of is the military band/anthem type music at the start.
