Moegaku Portable Release Announced

Those who’ve been reading HD for awhile now will remember Moegaku, the all-ages dating sim that purported to teach you English as you flirt with various dubiously-rendered and even more questionably-voiced 2D characters. The one that was recently spotted in the bargain bin at Gamers for 90% off? Yeah, that one.
Deciding that a cure for the Moegaku plague was an additional helping of the disease, nearly a year after its initial release Idea Factory has put their lot in with the game’s original maker to release a portable version. Moegaku Portable will be coming to a PSP near you (or not near – hopefully very far from you, actually) on September 14th. For those whose memory of the hideousness has faded, or those who question just how wrong an implementation of moe English lessons can be (beyond certain inherent axioms), look no further than the demo movie.

The art and theme song are pretty cute, too bad the voices totally kill it. They’re not high enough, and they sound kind of tired. Where’s the energy to match the energy of the illustrations?
Also, it does suck that it’s all ages… >_>

Maritan English lessons are the best! e.g.
“This leaf is good! Next to fuck!”
I love how they used English curses more creatively than native speakers. XD
