A silver lining to being away from the scene for so long is coming back to pleasant surprises that sprung up in my absence. One of these is software brand Vanadis, a partner of Heat Soft and Nounai Kanojo that specializes in an as-yet largely unserved niche: all monstergirls, all the time (I’m ignoring their first generic elf princess game on principle).
Their first two monstergirl releases were both low price eroge featuring a single heroine each: Mamonoko to no Seikatsu ~Lamia no Baai~, and Mamonoko to no Seikatsu ~Alraune no Baai~, featuring a Lamia and an Alraune respectively.
Their newest title is the slightly higher budget Mamonokotachi to no Rakuen ~Slime and Scylla~ (Scylla), scheduled for release on November 5th. It includes imouto and onee-san style versions of a nautical slime girl as the main heroine, with her many tentacled maid sidekick as support. This is looking like a game with something for every googirl fan, and with the art for all three titles done by accomplished newcomer Bubuzuke these are games I’ll be looking to pick up for sure.
